EKGs municipal hospitals establish industry standard for product information

With Bayard Consulting as advisory and technology partner, four of the largest buying groups of the German healthcare industry have set up the Healthcare Content Data Portal (HCDP). This has now become the standard for product information in the hospital market and will serve as an important element in numerous digitisation projects in the healthcare sector.

Meanwhile, far more than 150 companies supply their master data for over one million articles in a standardised format to the central data pool HCDP. This saves time and money and is an important basis for automated processes in procurement and logistics in the healthcare market. More and more suppliers are now continuously joining the new industry standard and supplying their product data to the HCDP.

HCDP is based on the cloud-based platform SyncManager from Bayard Consulting. Every supplier receives their own intuitive and userfriendly workspace. The system validates the data immediately and guides the suppliers directly to the fields where improvements are required due to insufficient data quality.

As soon as the data has been validated, it can be published by the suppliers into central data pool (HCDP). Suppliers who have automated their own processes to such an extent that they can deliver valid data directly from one of their systems into the HCDP can publish their data via the GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network). The HCDP is connected with the GDSN data pool b-synced from Bayard Consulting and sends the validation reports back to the suppliers.
