The manufacturer of brands including Frosch, emsal and Green Care Professional now equips retailers with product data via b-synced – BAYARD's BYRD enables data to be quality controlled as it is captured

Werner & Mertz has recently begun supplying retailers with quality-assured product master data via b-synced. The GDSN data pool from Bayard Consulting Group replaces the Atrify data pool for the manufacturer of brands including Frosch, emsal and Green Care Professional. Via the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN), manufacturers can communicate product content to their retail customers in a standardised manner throughout the industry.

In addition to b-synced, Werner & Mertz also uses Bayard Consulting Group's SyncManager platform to capture and deliver product content. The solution automatically checks the quality of the data for completeness, consistency and validity — even according to the rules of the GS1 DQX data quality service required by German retail companies. In this way, the branded goods manufacturer can already ensure that it meets the extensive quality requirements of retailers when entering the data. By participating in DQX, Werner & Mertz also initiates a visual inspection of the data, which further ensures quality beyond the automated data quality rules

Werner & Mertz also uses SyncManager to provide retailers with digital assets such as product images and the safety information data sheets required for household cleaners. These images can be used by retailers for their online store content, for example.

Werner & Mertz is initially using the Bayard Consulting Group solutions for the German and Austrian markets. Leading on from the success of this pilot phase, expansion to other European markets is envisaged.
